MISA COLD ROOMS
Italian-Engineered Cold Room Systems, Insulated Panels & Refrigeration; Authorised Dealer | Jacio Indicius
From Concept to Commissioning; Turnkey Cold Room Solutions for Commercial & Industrial Applications
Cold room engineering is a discipline that punishes compromise. The insulated panel that meets the minimum thermal specification rather than the correct specification will allow heat infiltration that drives up refrigeration energy consumption, creates temperature gradients within the cold room, and in time fails to maintain the temperature differential required for food safety compliance. The door that is selected primarily on cost rather than on thermal performance and mechanical durability becomes the source of 30% of the cold room’s total heat gain within its first two years of operation. The refrigeration system that is undersized relative to the thermal load; accounting for ambient temperature, product load, door opening frequency, and defrost cycles; runs continuously, wears rapidly, and ultimately fails at the moment the operation most depends on it.
MISA is an Italian manufacturer with decades of cold room engineering heritage; a leading brand in the production of commercial and industrial cold rooms, insulated panel systems, cold room doors, and refrigeration equipment for the HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, Catering), food production, and food retail sectors. Part of the Purever Group; a European leader in technical insulation technology; MISA brings the engineering depth and manufacturing precision of Italian craftsmanship to every aspect of cold room design and production.
MISA’s approach is explicitly turnkey: the company designs, manufactures, supplies, installs, and provides after-sales service for complete cold room projects; not just component parts. This end-to-end capability ensures that every element of the cold room installation; from panel thermal specification through refrigeration system sizing to door seal engineering; is integrated and optimised as a system rather than assembled from independently specified components that may not work together at their best.
Jacio Indicius brings MISA’s turnkey cold room capability to projects across India, the Middle East, Gulf countries, the USA, and Asia; providing full project design, product supply, installation, commissioning, and Annual Maintenance Contract support.

Shelving; Cold Room Interior Organisation
MISA supplies a range of cold room shelving systems engineered for food-safe cold room environments; using stainless steel or food-contact-approved coated steel construction for hygiene compliance and corrosion resistance in the cold, humid conditions of a commercial or industrial cold room interior.
- MISA Shelving; 370mm depth: standard narrow shelving for spice racks, small item cold storage, and secondary shelf levels
- MISA Shelving; 470mm depth: mid-depth shelving for standard gastronorm containers and medium-size food storage
- MISA Shelving; 560mm depth: deep shelving for large gastronorm containers, trays, and hotel pan storage
- All shelving: adjustable height on standard vertical uprights; stainless steel or coated steel; compliant with HACCP cold room internal equipment specifications
Cold Room Doors; The Critical Thermal Interface
The cold room door is the thermal weak point of any cold storage installation; the highest-traffic element, the primary source of heat infiltration, and the component most subject to mechanical wear from daily operational use. MISA’s cold room door range is engineering-led: every door format is designed to maintain thermal integrity, seal performance, and mechanical reliability through the full service life of the cold room installation.

The MISA Turnkey Method; From Design to After-Sales
into a complete, commissioned installation; without the coordination gaps and responsibility ambiguities that arise when panels, doors, refrigeration, and installation are sourced from different suppliers.
Stage 1; Design
Every MISA project begins with a design phase in which MISA engineers and the Jacio Indicius project team work with the client to establish the cold room’s thermal specification, physical dimensions, door positioning, internal layout, and refrigeration system requirements. This phase produces detailed drawings, panel specifications, and refrigeration system sizing documentation; ensuring that the installed system will perform to its thermal and capacity design parameters from day one.
Stage 2; Supply
MISA manufactures the panels, doors, shelving, and refrigeration systems to the project specification; maintaining the manufacturing quality standards of Italian production throughout. Jacio Indicius manages logistics from MISA’s Italian facilities to the project site across India, the Middle East, Gulf countries, and Asia.
Stage 3; Installation
On-site installation is managed by the Jacio Indicius project team; trained in MISA installation procedures and equipped with the tools and technical resources to assemble the MISA panel system, hang the MISA doors, and install and commission the refrigeration system correctly.
Stage 4; Commissioning
Post-installation commissioning includes refrigeration system start-up, temperature pull-down testing, door seal verification, and temperature stability testing across the cold room’s full operating cycle. Commissioning documentation is provided as part of the project handover package for HACCP records and regulatory compliance.
Stage 5; After-Sales Service (AMC)
Ongoing Annual Maintenance Contracts provide scheduled preventive maintenance visits, refrigeration system performance checks, door seal inspection and replacement, and priority breakdown response; protecting the cold room’s thermal performance and the client’s investment throughout the system’s operational life.
